1. Nature of the App

Paros Compass is a curated island guide and travel companion. The app is designed to help users discover places, events, maps, wind and weather-related context, and related local information.

Paros Compass is provided for informational and convenience purposes only.

2. No Guarantee of Accuracy or Availability

Paros Compass aims to present information carefully and in good faith. However, places, businesses, operators, event details, opening hours, prices, weather conditions, wind conditions, routes, coordinates, map information, external links, and other content may change, become unavailable, contain errors, or become outdated.

Users are responsible for using their own judgment and, where necessary, independently verifying important details before relying on them.

3. No Safety, Navigation, Medical, or Emergency Advice

Paros Compass does not provide medical advice, legal advice, rescue services, emergency services, maritime safety advice, or guaranteed navigation guidance.

Map display, weather or wind information, and route-related content must not be treated as a substitute for official forecasts, official charts, emergency guidance, local authority instructions, or professional judgment.

Users remain fully responsible for their own decisions, movements, bookings, navigation, weather assessment, and safety choices.

4. External Links and Third-Party Services

Paros Compass may allow the user to open external websites, operator pages, event links, email links, social profiles, Apple Maps, Google Maps, or other third-party services.

Those services operate independently from Paros Compass and are governed by their own terms, privacy practices, availability, and content.

Paros Compass is not responsible for third-party websites, third-party transactions, third-party services, or third-party content accessed outside the app.

5. Paid Access and Purchases

Paros Compass offers paid access to Pro features.

Paid access is currently offered as a lifetime non-consumable purchase.

Purchases and restore flows are handled through the relevant platform provider and related purchase infrastructure, including Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat-based entitlement handling.

Paros Compass does not directly process payment card details.

Access to paid features depends on valid purchase status, platform rules, and entitlement validation.

Refunds, billing issues, and platform-specific transaction rights may be governed by the relevant app store’s own rules and user account terms.

If the purchase model changes in the future, these Terms & Legal notices may be updated accordingly.

6. Acceptable Use

Users must not misuse the app, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer the app except where legally permitted, use the app for unlawful purposes, or infringe the rights of Paros Compass or others.

7. Intellectual Property

The Paros Compass app, branding, design, editorial structure, original copy, and related intellectual property belong to Paros Compass or its licensors, except where third-party rights apply.

Third-party trademarks, provider names, and platform names remain the property of their respective owners.

8. Map Credits and Attribution

Paros Compass uses Mapbox to provide map functionality.

Map-related data, rendering, styles, attribution, and related requests may involve Mapbox and its data sources or providers, subject to their applicable terms and attribution requirements.

OpenStreetMap contributor attribution and any additional imagery or map-source attribution required by the underlying map stack apply where relevant.

Required Mapbox legal elements are presented on the in-app map interface.

9. Analytics and Telemetry Notice

Paros Compass uses consent-gated product analytics.

Analytics collection remains disabled unless the user has accepted analytics.

If analytics is declined, analytics events are not sent through the app’s analytics flow.

Map-related telemetry or provider-specific telemetry is governed by the relevant provider implementation and applicable legal requirements.

10. Location Functionality

Paros Compass may request foreground location access only after a user initiates map-related functionality that requires user- location display.

Location permission is optional and remains subject to device-level controls.

Paros Compass does not use background location tracking in the current implementation.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Paros Compass is not liable for losses, damages, delays, cancellations, route issues, weather decisions, sea-condition decisions, third-party acts, content inaccuracies, business changes, or unavailability arising from use of the app or reliance on app content.

Nothing in these Terms & Legal notices excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

12. Changes

Paros Compass may update the app, its content, its legal pages, or its feature set from time to time.

Material legal changes should be reflected by updating the date shown at the top of this page.
